E Online – They’re enemies on screen, but in real life, The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey Dean Morgan couldn’t love each other more.
However, as the duo revealed to E! News at the show’s big season eight premiere/100th episode celebration, all the love in the world couldn’t stop Lincoln from getting a little too into character during a fight scene between Rick and his nemesis, Morgan’s Negan. “We really do beat each other up,” Morgan admitted about the all-too-real scraps between the characters. “He punched me. He broke my nose.”
“But then he kneed me in the Willy Wonka,” Lincoln said with a laugh.
“I barely kneed him in his junk and it’s like that was payback,” Morgan responded. “No! He dropped me.”
“I did drop him,” Lincoln conceded. “Breaking news!”
VARIETY – The worlds of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead” will collide at some point next year.
A character from one show will crossover to the other series — that’s what “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman told fans Saturday night at the “Walking Dead” panel held at the Theater at Madison Square Garden as part of New York Comic-Con.
“Fear” launched in 2015 as a prequel to “Walking Dead.” The “Fear” storyline follows two families at the outset of the zombie apocalypse. “Walking Dead,” which bowed in 2010, follows the struggles of survivors trying not to become “walkers” long after the country has been overrun by the undead.
Kirkman would not offer any other details other to say that one character will hop shows next year.
“More news coming in the following months,” Kirkman said after teasing the plan for the “one character that I will not name.”
“Walking Dead” is set to begin its eighth season on Oct. 22. “Fear the Walking Dead” will wrap its third season on Oct. 15. The buzz about the convergence of worlds could help boost fan interest in Season 4 of “Fear,” which has seen a big drop in viewership since its first season.
EW – Uh-oh. If you thought we were done with major characters dying off on The Walking Dead after the brutal last season, you thought wrong. It seems we will be losing some favorite faces since again in season 8, which kicks off Oct. 22 on AMC.
That’s according to series star Andrew Lincoln, who dropped the bombshell at a SiriusXM The Walking Dead Town Hall taping Saturday afternoon (hosted by yours truly and airing on Entertainment Weekly Radio, channel 105, at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 19).“There’s some big deaths this season, just to warn everybody,” said Lincoln.
In the tradition of American classics, WALKAWAY JOE is the story of an unlikely friendship between a young boy searching for his father, and a wandering loner hiding from his past. In each other they experience the power of a second chance, and a shot at redemption.
